Icy Elegance: Ken & Sarah’s Winter Wonderland Wedding

As they began to picture what their big day would look like, Sara and Ken envisioned tying the knot amidst a winter wonderland with a touch of Christmas spirit sprinkled throughout. The results were nothing short of magical.

J Verno Studio, with its elegant architectural charm, served as the perfect blank slate backdrop to create a dreamy wonderland for the festivities. Vintage Alley Rentals and Pittsburgh Florist - Jim Ludwig's Blumengarten Florist added the winter to the wonderland, adorning the space with real evergreen trees covered in twinkling lights, lush greenery, snowy white and cream blooms and hints of red to bring just a hint Christmas. The Bespoke and Beloved team added icy silver tree towers, winter garlands, and floating candles to line the aisle and create the perfect atmosphere for a night-time walk in the winter woods.

The bridesmaids dressed in icy blue, grey, and steel blue gowns, creating a picturesque scene against the vintage brick backdrop. Sara embodied a winter princess as she walked down the aisle in an elegant long-sleeved, lace and tulle gown from Bridal Beginning, flawlessly altered by Kati at Topaz Thimble. Ken and his groomsmen got dapper in suits and ties from Generation Tux, one of our suit partner programs at Bespoke & Beloved Events. Walter the Pomeranian absolutely stole the show as an adorable ring bearer in his own boutonniere and dapper couture doggie suit from Wedding Dogs Atelier.

With the perfect lighting treatment, Sara and Ken looked like the were standing in a snow globe for their ceremony.

After the ceremony, we transformed the room with a ceremony-to-reception flip, leaving guests in awe of the seamless change and ready to get the party started.

Vintage Alley’s moon arch and trees became the perfect back drop for their impeccably styled sweetheart table, and the couple’s Mr. and Mrs. Christmas wreaths make the perfect statement decorating the front.

Guest tables were adorned with icy, sparkling tree branches or evergreen and floating candles with cranberries to highlight Sara’s Massachusetts home. Each place setting had a delicious Sarris chocolate covered pretzel as a wedding favor.

Ken and Sara’s must-haves for the event were great food, tons of photos, and an amazing party — and they were not disappointed! Guests were treated to a feast for the eyes and stomach with a massive charcuterie grazing board and a delicious barbecue feast from Big Black Grill. Tasty Bakery crafted a beautiful sweater cake that wowed guests inside (funfetti cake with raspberry jam) and out, as well as chocolate-peanut butter and funfettii cupcakes. The traditional Pittsburgh Cookie Table extravaganza, baked by Bethel Bakery, Pittsburgh Cookie Monster, and family members, was styled perfectly by Vintage Alley to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. Dive Bar added an extra dash of fun to the festivities, serving up boozy slushies at the bar.

And after all the ceremonial festivities wrapped up, DJ Lex from Loyalty Entertainment Weddings & Events kept the dance floor packed all night long.

It truly was a day filled with love, joy, and winter wonder. We wish the happy couple a lifetime of happiness and many more magical celebrations ahead!

And we love that Aaron Woods Productions recorded special moments to be replayed by the happy couple for years to come in a touching wedding video paying homage to Sara and Ken and their love of favorite sitcom, "The Office.''
