Pittsburgh Vintage Heirloom Wedding
If you've glanced at my Instagram recently, you know that I collaborated with Jenn of Jenn Marie Wedding Photography on a Belle Epoque themed styled shoot. I always like to create a story for my styled shoots so that they feel more like weddings and I have a better feel for what I am designing. Here's the story of Genevieve and William.
As fans of theater, movies, and art, Ginny and Will both knew they wanted a venue that had charm and character; they also wanted somewhere that matched the family heirlooms they wanted to include. Mansions on Fifth's Gilded Age splendor was the perfect canvas on which to create their wedding.
Many of the bride and groom's personal details were family pieces that have been handed down through the years. The groom's cuff links are his grandfather's, the bride's pearls belonged to her grandmother, and the jade engagement ring is an heirloom from the groom's family. Even the vintage style garter, handmade by The Garter Girl, and custom created Guipure beaded lace gown from Krustallos Couture Atelier are sure to be treasured when passed down for other family weddings. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue are well represented among these stunning wedding elements.
Even the china and the crystal for the head table are antiques from the bride's family.
And then there was this stunner of a vintage Victor Victrola from Copper and Sage Vintage that made the perfect statement arrangement with flowers from Posy. This was a crowd favorite among guests for sure.
Feast your eyes on all of this vintage goodness put together by an amazingly talented team of Pittsburgh wedding creatives.
Can you believe this amazing cake? And what wedding is complete without the Pittsburgh Cookie Table? Ginny and Will highlighted french macrons on her great-grandma's amber glass cake plate to continue the vintage glamour of their theme.
It was an honor to plan this styled shoot, and I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I did. I couldn't have done it without this amazing creative team:
