This DC couple wanted to add a natural environment to their big day and decided a destination wedding outside of the city was perfect solution. Tiffany and Dragos envisioned a relaxed, bohemian microwedding surrounded by the vibrant hues of nature. Morgantown’s West Virginia Botanic Garden provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s unique style and commitment to an environmentally-friendly, nature-centered wedding.

When the wedding week arrived with violent rainstorms in the area and a hurricane on the move predicted for the wedding weekend, the Bespoke & Beloved Events team knew we would need to enact a concrete plan for a weather-resilient celebration so the weather wouldn’t spoil the day. With extra tents and umbrellas in place, an intimate crowd of around 80 guests were wowed by the romantic butterfly garden as the setting for the ceremony, then moved to the education center for cocktail hour. Talented acoustical guitarist Amy Andrews Music provided amazing music for guests to enjoy before the ceremony as well as during cocktail hour.

Tiffany and Dragos carefully chose every aspect of their day to celebrate their personalities and their love for each other, and it all came together to create a beautiful bohemian feel for the day. Tiffany looked like a beautiful goddess of nature in her golden sunburst crown and floral embroidered dress. Dragos added another rich layer to the vibe by sporting a hand-embroidered shirt with traditional Moldovan embroidery, a sweet nod to his heritage. Attendants wore floral prints in a casual style, and the officiant rocked an island-style beach shirt!

As part of Tiffany’splan guests were treated to a delicious vegetarian menu from Full Bowl Catering that received rave reviews from everyone. Furthering the personal touches of the day, each guest was personally greeted at the buffet line by Tiffany and Dragos.

The reception was filled with speeches by friends, family, and the couple. RML Jazz band kept guests dancing for the entire event, and sweet tooths were satisfied by delectable cupcakes from The Cupcakerie. Everyone marveled at the cake topper - miniature versions of Tiffany and Dragos, right down to the embroidery on Dragos’ shirt. Vintage and bohemian touches sprinkled throughout continued the theme of the day.
