Pittsburgh Wedding Vendors Rallying to Help Noah's Event Venue Couples

Planning a wedding is stressful enough without having things you thought were already completed and check off the list suddenly being undone.  But, the news of Noah’s Event Venues Closing last Friday has left many engaged couples with no venue for their wedding happening as soon as next week! Not only are these couples out of their venue and their money, they may also be out of all of the other vendors they’ve already booked if they can’t find a new venue available on the same date. And of course, all those save the dates and invitations with the venue printed on them will have to be reordered.   All of these engaged couples now find themselves asking, "What do I do?," in varying degrees of panic.

In western Pennsylvania and the Pittsburgh metro-area, the local communities and wedding industry members have rallied together to help engaged couples find all the new vendors that they may need, and many vendors are offering discounts to help offset the additional expenses of planning a new wedding. Both the Pittsburgh Wedding Community and Burgh Brides, the two biggest communities of resources for couples marrying in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas, immediately began contacting venues to post any available dates they had and posting those dates in their Facebook groups for couples to have one easy place to look for replacement venues. Many of those venues, and other wedding vendors offering services that displaced couples might need such as new stationary or planning assistance with a new time crunch, are offering discounts to any couple who was originally booked at either of the local Noah’s venues.

Another local planner, Jeannene Lillie, has created an online database for venues and vendors offering assistance.

If you follow me on social media, you know that I believe that a huge part of being a local business means being involved in and giving back to that community. I am so proud to be part of the Pittsburgh wedding community that rallies to support its couples in times like these.

I’ll be offering my planning package, which normally starts at $2,700, at my normal coordination rate ($1,500) and my coordination package at 50% ($750) for any affected couples who need help as a result of having to change venues. Just mention that you are a Noah’s wedding in the venue section.
